The programme provides full tuition fees for two years and living expenses during the first year only. After the first year, participants must cover their own living expenses. VTT Science Awards – Excellence in Science -ascent

The VTT Science Awards are awarded by the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation ( Tekes ). The award is given to individuals or groups in recognition of their outstanding research achievements. The category encompasses all fields of science, but particularly natural sciences, engineering and mathematics.

The main objective of the award is to encourage and support young researchers in their career development. The award consists of € 50,000 for each successful applicant, which can be used for financing studies or research projects.

The VTT Science Awards – Excellence in Science -ascent is aimed at researchers who have completed their doctoral studies and have been awarded a PhD degree from an accredited academic institution in Finland or abroad.
